LAST VINTAGE OF PINOT GRIS

Our final ever Pinot Gris from the Beamsville Bench, we're excited (and sad) to share our dry, medium bodied Pinot Gris with you. With only 190 cases produced, this mouth filling Pinot Gris was fermented and then aged for 9 months in neutral French Oak barrels.

Smooth and slightly rich with flavours of pear, melon and a hint of spice pair with roasted chicken, schnitzel, smoked salmon quiche, and semi soft smoked cheeses.

WINE MAKING
Pinot Gris was hand-picked over two days on September 12 & 19 from our estate vineyard. The grapes were whole bunch pressed, 100% of the juice was fermented and aged in neutral French oak barrels in multiple batches using different yeasts, that would allow for more options when it came time to blend the wine. The wine was aged in barrel for 9 months prior to blending. Limited production: 190 cases

FLAVOUR PROFILE
Clear and bright with a bouquet of melon, Bartlett pear, red apple, and a touch of floral. This dry, medium-bodied Pinot Gris has a smooth, slightly rich mouthfeel, great texture, and flavours of melon, pear, and custard. Notes of orchard fruits, and spice linger on the finish.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS
Serve lightly chilled at 14 to 15˚C. Serve with creamy lentil soup; poached salmon; roast chicken; pan fried scallops; grilled pork chops; smoked salmon quiche; pasta in a light cream sauce; black bean, cream cheese and quinoa dip; hummus with pita chips; semi-soft cheeses such as Wildwood from Stonetown Cheese in St. Marys Ontario. This wine will continue to develop through 2025.
